[2023/ 10/ 7] The chart shows the expenditure in three categories as the proportion of the total spending by UK citizens in 2004 according to their age.

It is noticeable thatthe largest proportion of spending was on entertainment among people younger than 75, while the oldest age group spent more on food and drinks.

- 75+的人：food and drinks花费最高
【Body 1】
People younger than 74 years oldspent more onentertainment than other two items, with the figures ranging from 11%(by the under 30s) to 17%(by the 64-74-year-olds).However, for people older than 75, they only spent 6% on this category.Althoughthe least percentageof money(6%) was spent on food and drinks by people under 30, people of other age groupschose to spend a higher percentage of money onthis item.Obviously, the cost of foods by the oldest age groupranked the first placeamong all the age groups, with the figure of 17%.

It is also clear thatthe youngest groupspent more money onrestaurant and hotel than other age groups, with the figure of roughly 9%.By contrast, only 4% of money was spent on this item by people over 75 years old, which wasthe smallestamong all the expenditure by this group of people. People of the other three age groupsshared the same figurein the spending on this aspect, at 6%.
